A Morning for the Nations: Missions Sunday 2025

On Sunday, October 5, 2025, the Clarence Brown Conference Center was transformed into a celebration of faith, purpose, and global impact as New Beginnings Church gathered for Missions Sunday 2025. From the first note of worship to the final benediction, every moment carried one powerful message: the mission is not over - it is just beginning.
A Global Welcome
The morning began with Why We Serve, a short video that captured the heartbeat of missions - people reaching people with the love of Jesus. As the lights came up, Pastor Greg Mauldin welcomed the congregation and received the Land Offering, inviting everyone to sow into the vision of what God is building through New Beginnings.

Then came one of the morning's most moving moments: as the worship team, led by Pastor K. Ray Looney, began Let Your Kingdom Come, members representing nations from around the world entered the room carrying vibrant flags from across the globe. The powerful visual of color and movement brought to life the very words being sung - a call for God's kingdom to be known in every nation and every heart.

From there, worship soared with Be Lifted High and Redeemed, filling the room with gratitude and anticipation for what God is doing through His church both here and abroad.

Stories of Impact
Pastor Barry Garland welcomed everyone and led the congregation in prayer before sharing an update video highlighting the upcoming Perry Stone Crusade on November 9. Dr. Paul Stockard followed with a message on generosity and the morning offering, leading seamlessly into a soul-stirring choir special - Send Me. The song echoed Isaiah's words, Here am I, send me, capturing the heart of the day.

Then came a series of unforgettable testimonies and mission spotlights. Raymond Goodman, Executive Director of RIO Missions, shared how churches are partnering to send workers and build hope around the world. Dr. Francisco Cruz spoke passionately about medical missions in Honduras, where physical healing opens doors for the Gospel. And Tommy Smith, missionary to Indonesia, challenged the congregation to carry the same boldness wherever God sends them.

Interwoven between these stories were mission videos featuring Houston Edwards in Colombia and Linda Woodson's Appalachian Christmas outreach, showing how New Beginnings is part of a global story - one that stretches from the mountains of Appalachia to the jungles of South America.

A Call to Go
As the morning drew to a close, the NBCC Missions Highlights video, Send Me Out, I Will Go, reminded everyone that mission work begins right where we are. Pastor Barry then invited each person to fill out a pledge card - a commitment to pray, give, and go in support of NBCC Missions in the coming year.

Finally, Scott and Holly Holder closed the service in prayer, sending everyone out with renewed purpose and passion.
Carried by the Call
Missions Sunday 2025 was more than an event - it was a movement. From the flag-filled aisles to the stories of hope shared from around the world, every part of the morning reminded the NBCC family that the Great Commission is still our mission.
Send me out, I will go. That is not just a lyric - it is our prayer, our purpose, and our promise.
