The Waymakers of New Beginnings Church set out on a week-long adventure to Branson, Missouri—a trip filled with laughter, shows, shopping, good food, and great fellowship.

Day 1: Travel Day 🚌

The excitement kicked off as the Waymakers loaded up for their trip! Pastor Barry Garland came out to pray over the group, sending them off with blessings for safe travels. This year marked the first time since 1997 that Doug and Angie Gilmer weren’t able to attend, and they were deeply missed by Pastor K. Ray and Shelia.

The morning devotion was led by Greg Mauldin, setting a spiritual tone for the journey ahead. The group also celebrated a milestone—Ben Phillips’ 16th birthday! 🎉

Along the way, the Waymakers stopped in Paducah, KY, where they stretched their legs at the beautiful and historic Whitehaven House. Spirits were high as everyone anticipated their arrival in Branson the following day.

Day 2: Arriving in Branson

On the way into town, the group got a surprise peek at the iconic Gateway Arch in St. Louis! Gene Martin blessed the morning with a meaningful devotion before the day’s adventures.

The bus ride was full of games, laughter, and plenty of entertainment as everyone geared up for a packed itinerary. That evening, the group celebrated the birthdays of Tim and Garrin Daniels—a dynamic father-son duo!

The night ended on a high note with a visit to The Haygoods Show, proudly known as “Branson’s Most Popular Show.” The high-energy performance didn’t disappoint!

Day 3: A Journey Back in Time

The morning began with a heartfelt devotion by Bobby Taylor, followed by a trip to the Kings Castle Theatre for New Jersey Nights, a nostalgic performance featuring Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons’ greatest hits.

Lunch was enjoyed in Historic Downtown Branson, where local flavors and sights delighted everyone. The evening highlight was David, a powerful and moving production at Sight & Sound Theatres. The show’s dramatic storytelling brought King David’s biblical journey to life and left a lasting impression on all who attended.

Day 4: Honoring 9/11 and More Shows 🎶

This day began with a moment of remembrance for 9/11, as the Waymakers gathered to pray for the nation. Jami Pumpfrey delivered an uplifting devotion that set the tone for a day of joy and gratitude.

The group attended The Beach Boys California Dreamin’ Show, a sunny musical escape filled with classic surf tunes. Shopping and lunch at Branson Landing offered time to relax and explore before wrapping up the day with Reza: The Edge of Illusion, an electrifying magic show that left everyone in awe.

Bill Burrell’s devotion was the perfect start to another exciting day. The Waymakers then attended the Doug Gabriel Morning Show, where a special surprise unfolded—Pastor K. Ray Looney was called on stage to sing Amazing Grace! Not to be outdone, Ms. Jami Pumpfrey also made an appearance on stage.

A Heartfelt Thank You ❤️

The Branson trip was a resounding success, filled with laughter, inspiration, and deepened friendships. None of it would have been possible without the incredible leadership and planning of Pastor K. Ray and Shelia Looney. The Waymakers are already looking forward to their next adventure together!
